The Legend of the Mystical Ninja
Posted on | September 23, 2009 |
The Legend of the Mystical Ninja is a single-player adventure game featuring Kid Ying and Dr. Yang and is the latest entry to our list of the Best SNES Games Ever. The Legend of the Mystical Ninja can be an extremely deep game if you want it to be. However, if you want to play casual you can do that to and also have a great game experience. The Legend of the Mystical Ninja features countless games within the game; from video arcades, dice games, to betting on horses.
Wikipedia explains the plot as, “after noticing some odd occurrences in their hometown, Kid Ying and Dr. Yang decide to investigate. They soon discover that Princess Yuki has been kidnapped by the Otafu army. To save the princess, the protagonists must travel through different regions of Japan to find clues about the army and the location of the princess.” Pretty cut and dry.
In addition to short-range weapons, your characters have the ability to throw coins and learn a variety of Judo attacks. The Judo attacks can grow in strength as the game progresses. The Legend of the Mystical Ninja stands out from the pack with it’s unique set of opponents and bosses. There is no predicting the anime-inspired fiends you face along the way (take a good look at the video game box art and you’ll get an idea of what I’m talking about). The game also features a very bizarre sound track and sound effects that you’ll love if your into the game or want to commit harakiri if you’re not.
The Legend of the Mystical Ninja provides a very enjoyable and memorable game eprience. There are many delightful oddities to The Legend of the Mystical Ninja (I’ve already hinted at a few) that truely make this game one of a kind. This game comes highly recommended and easily makes our list of the Best SNES Games Ever.
