Super Ghouls ‘n Ghosts

Super Ghouls ‘n Ghosts is one of the more difficult games on Super Nintendo - in fact, it’s one of the more difficult games ever. Right up there with Contra III, Super Ghouls ‘n Ghosts can be equally frustrating as enjoyable. Super Ghouls ‘n Ghosts is your typical save-the-girl game but plot is not what this game is about. Super Ghouls ‘n Ghosts is about killing daemons, zombies and other ghoulish creatures conceived from a spectacular imagination.
You control Knight Arthur who can chose from a variety of weapons, can upgrade his armor and has the phenomenal ability to double-jump. Some of the weapons King Arthur can chose from is an axe, cycle, spear and a dagger. Each armor upgrade advances the weapon to specialized form of its original self. If not for the ability to double-jump, Super Ghouls ‘n Ghosts would be an impossible game to beat. Super Ghouls ‘n Ghosts has an amazing score, scenery and levels. Knight Arthur travels through haunted graveyards, the Sea of Despair, towers of molten steel, the Hallway of Ghouls and much much more.
Super Ghouls ‘n Ghosts is an absolute classic that can be picked up at any time. This is a great game to break out during a party even though it’s only one player. For some reason crowds can huddle around the game and watch someone play - I believe this is due to the games incredible difficulty and it’s always interesting to see how far someone can make it on turn.
