Retrospect can be a difficult thing to deal with. If only you did something a little differently, or maybe if you said this instead of that. The Best Girlfriend Is Also Your Friend (Not Best friend):
If you can hang out with your girlfriend the same way you can hang out with your buddies then she’s a keeper. You two clearly share mutual interests and have a connection on many levels. Can you listen to the same music? Watch the same TV shows? Of course you two will never be 100% the same - all relationships require sacrifice.
The Drama-Free Girlfriend:
If there is one thing guys hate more than anything it’s drama. If your girlfriend is easy going and can roll with the punches then she’s a keeper. Your relationship will be so much stronger if you don’t have to worry about walking on egg shells all the time and you can just be yourself. Of course there will be battles, but what makes her a keeper is she will pick and chose which battles to fight.
The Girlfriend Who Isn’t Afraid To Eat:
This might sound silly but it’s very unbecoming when a girl wont even eat a slice of pizza. If your girlfriend isn’t afraid to knock back a cheeseburger than she’s a keeper. It can get frustrating when your choices are limited because she only eats seaweed salad and tofu. While both of those items are respectable and tasty, it’s annoying if she’ll only eat that.
The Girlfriend Who Isn’t Afraid To Drink:
If your girlfriend will knock back a few beers, glasses of wine, or shots then she’s a keeper. While it’s not cool to be an alcoholic, it’s pretty cool when you can go out to the bar and have some drinks with your girlfriend. If she doesn’t drink and you do, it can really strain a relationship.
Guys Love When Girls Pay…Occasionally:
For the most party guys like to pay for his girlfriend because it makes him feel good about himself. Guys like being able to take care of their girl. If your girlfriend isn’t afraid to pick up the check from time to time then she’s a keeper. She clearly realizes that you’re spending a lot of your money and it’s only fair that she chips in and helps.
The Girlfriend Who Admits She Wants It Just As Bad As You Do:
To quote The Big Lebowski, “It’s a male myth about feminists that we [girls] hate sex.” This one needs no explanation.
The Girlfriend Who Has Your Back No Matter What:
Unless you are cheating on her or picking fights with other guys, if your girlfriend has your back then she’s a keeper. She might debate about issues with you in private, but if somebody is talking smack about you she should be the first one to stand up and defend you - and vice versa. Guys are expected to protect a girls physical well-being and girls need to protect the a guys mental well-being.
If you girlfriend has many of these qualities then she’s a keeper. Do whatever you can because it’s pretty rare to find a girl who acts like this. Don’t be petty, make sacrafises and don’t expect perfection. Now get out there big guy!
