The Bubble Dragons Bub and Bob are the stars of the Nintendo classic Bubble Bobble and the latest entries in our list of Iconic 8-Bitters. Bubble Bobble is a wonderfully simple game where the Bubble Dragons, Bub and Bob, traverse 100 levels collecting items, disposing of enemies by throwing bubbles at them, and pushing other bubble to do the dirty work for them.

Keiji Thomas from Kung Fu is the latest entry into our list of Iconic 8-Bitters. Keiji Thomas’s girlfriend has been kidnapped by Mr. X and he must battle his way through a series of enemies to get her back.

The action takes place through 5 side-scrolling levels each culminating with an end boss. “The first two bosses are ordinary men armed with a stick and honed boomerangs, respectively. Ice Climber

Popo & Nana, from the unforgettable Nintendo Enternatinment System (NES) game Ice Climber, will combine to be the second entry to our list of Iconic 8-Bitters. Ice Climber is one of the more peculiar video games of all time that has the said ice climbers traversing up 32 ice-covered mountains to recover stolen vegetables from a giant condor.

The ice climbers are only equipped with a wooden mallet which they must use to bash ice and enemies. At the top of each peak the condor flies overhead before you’re given an opportunity to recover your stolen vegies. Continue Reading

Little Mac is the first entry on our Iconic 8-Bitters list. Little Mac is the hero from the epic Nintendo game Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out!!. Everyone has played Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out!! in their lives at one point or another and a little piece of Little Mac lives in us all. “He has black hair, wears a black tank top with green trunks and gloves, and is described as being supposedly 17 years old, 4′8″, 107 lb (49 kg), and hailing from the Bronx, New York” says wikipedia.org.
