10 Video Games Your Mother Doesn’t Want You Playing

Posted on | January 22, 2010 |

I had to play many of these games in secrecy when I was younger and I’ll never forget booting up Doom from a Dos Prompt. If your mom ever catches you playing these games you’ll probably be grounded - or worse, you’ll lose your dessert. The games that make this list are known for their extreme and gruesome violence or sexual content. Some of these games have been banned in countries. But the one common thing about these games is they’re all great.

People who think video games cause violence, or worse, clearly don’t understand them. Playing a violent video, or a game with strong sexual content, is no different than reading a book with same. Sounds like a post for another day, let’s check out these 10 video games that your mother doesn’t want you playing:

10) Splatterhouse 3

Wikipedia:

Splatterhouse 3 is the title of a video game released by Namco for the Mega Drive/Genesis in 1993. It is the sequel to Splatterhouse 2 and was one of the first games to be given a rating by Sega’s own Videogame Rating Council. In North America the game was given a MA-13 rating by the council for its graphic violence and gore. Unlike its predecessors, it was never released in Europe.
